DIY Sequined Tie

Ph, Private

It has been quite a long time since I have done a DIY, but I have something for you. I decided to make my own sequined tie. Here you can find a step by step guide to make yourself one as well.

What you'll need:
Scissors, round nose pliers, sequined fabric, tape measure, needle, thread, chain, closure and clasp.

1. Cut a piece sequined fabric in the shape of a tie, leave it long at the top. Optional: use the tape measure to get the preferable length. Be sure you have chosen sequined fabric that won't fringe.
2. Fold down the top and stitch it down so you'll have a small tunnel (is that how you call it?).
3. Approximately  three centimeters from the top you'll have to create some sort of knot to make it look like a tie. Don't make a real knot, but wrap your thread around the tie twice to narrow that part down.
4. Use the round nose pliers to cut off your desired length of chain. You can use your tape measure to decide how long the cord needs to be.
5. Thread the chain through the tunnel at the top of the tie. Use the round nose pliers to add the closure and clasp. You're done!
